The Application is designed exclusively to facilitate automated, secure backups of your local Home Assistant instance to your personal Google Drive storage account. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through transparent practices.

2. Data We Access and Collect

The Application requests access to your Google Account via OAuth 2.0 authentication. Specifically, it requests permission to access Google Drive storage. Depending on your setup, access is limited to:

• Application-Specific Files: Access restricted solely to files and folders created by or explicitly opened with this Application (e.g., using the restricted drive.file or drive.appdata scopes).
• Backup Data: Home Assistant configuration files, database snapshots, and add-on data created locally by your Home Assistant system.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your Google Drive access credentials and tokens are used strictly and exclusively for the following purposes:

• Uploading scheduled Home Assistant backup archives to your Google Drive account.
• Retrieving lists of stored backup files to allow management and restoration from within your Home Assistant interface.
• Deleting old backups from Google Drive according to your configured retention policies.

4. Data Storage and Third-Party Sharing

• No External Servers: We do not host, centralize, or aggregate your personal data, backups, or OAuth credentials on external servers. All authentication tokens and configuration settings remain stored locally within your Home Assistant installation.
• No Data Selling or Sharing: Your personal data, backups, and Google credentials are never sold, rented, leased, or shared with any third parties or marketing entities.
• Google API Disclosure: The Application's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Service User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Data Security

Data transmitted between your Home Assistant instance and Google Drive is encrypted in transit using standard HTTPS/TLS protocols provided by Google APIs. Security of the local backup files and stored authentication tokens relies on the security of your self-hosted Home Assistant server.

6. Managing and Revoking Permissions

You retain full control over the connection between Home Assistant and your Google Account at all times:

• You can revoke access to this Application at any time via your Google Account Security Settings.
• Deleting the integration or add-on from your Home Assistant instance will remove locally stored authentication tokens.
